Water is A Necessity of Life

Isn't it interesting to see this question 'Why people need to drink water?'. Water is an essential (if you don't consider it vital) supplement of life. We cannot think of a place where life exists without water because if there is no water there is no life. Even if we don't drink water everyday our body is able to extract some water from other sources which can include food, fruits, drinks and even air.

Everyone Needs Water to Survive

We cannot survive without water for more than 2-3 days as our body cannot survive without water. Just like the way we need water everyday for our cleanliness drive at home to clean both our body and home, our body needs water to complete its own tasks everyday.

This is a common question that we usually ask ourself whenever we read or learn something about benefits of drinking water. Actually 'How much water should a person drink per day' depends on a number of factors like body weight, health status, age, lifestyle, personal taste and habits etc.

I don't think we should believe in anything like drink 8 glasses of water everyday or drink at least 2 liters of water a day as human body is not a mechanical machine which runs fixed distance for per unit of fuels and needs routine predefined maintenance tasks.

Drink as much water as you can comfortably drink or just remember to drink more water every day. Drinking water instead of tea, coffee, soda or packaged drink is good for our health and wellness but too much of anything is bad.

I'll also like to add a paragraph of on how drinking too much water can sometime lead to serious health problem, so don't force anything on your body. The best thing is to start drinking more water everyday and let our body adjust to this new habit that we'll develop over time.
